Saif-Deepika in Love Aaj Kal

Imtiaz Ali's much awaited Saif Ali Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer finally seems to have found a suitable title. The film is called Love Aaj Kal. The title Love Aaj Kal has a mix of both Hindi and English words just like it was with Imtiaz's last release Jab We Met.

Dinesh Vijan, producer of the film and Saif's business partner, confirmed the news, "Yes our film is called Love Aaj Kal. It is 95% complete and should be out some time mid-year"

Dinesh also confirmed that besides Saif and Deepika, the film also stars Rishi Kapoor, Vir Das and two other newcomers. He however denied that rumours doing the rounds about Neetu Singh starring in the film.

Deepika Padukone and Akshay Kumar in Anees Bazmee Next!

There has been a buzz that writer, producer, director Anees Bazmee has signed Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone for his next venture to be directed by UTV. When contacted Anees said, "I have not signed anyone as yet. We are in talks. UTV and I are interested in doing a film together. We are working on the economics right now."

Meanwhile Anees is busy completing his next film titled It’s My Life with Hurman S. Baweja, Genelia D’Souza and Nana Patekar. "The subject of this film is close to my hear. It is on the lines of Pyar To Hona Hi Tha and is unlike other comedies that I have directed so far," he said.

Hurman's earlier venture, Love Story 2050 was a box office dud but Anees is confident about his venture. "I have not seen Victory or Love Story 2050 but I am confident of my subject. My film is totally a today’s film. I am confident because I know the grammar of a good script. Nana Patekar has performed a unique role in the film. It has music by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy and has been shot in Norway, Bangkok and Delhi," Anees said.

The director also adds that marketing plays an important aspect in the success of the film. "I am paying a lot of attention towards it since I have realised that a lot of actors are working out on strategies of marketing before their releases," he said.

"After the completion of this film I will be starting work on Anil Kapoor’s film in March starring Anil himself along with Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Sushmita Sen and Paresh Rawal. This will be a hardcore commercial venture an action comedy," Anees added

Deepika's turning pink

Recently, the Pink City caught a glimpse of glam girl Deepika Padukone who was here to be a part of an event organised by a soft drink brand. However, this is not Deepika’s first visit to the Pink City. The actress was here last week too.
This time around, Deepika arrived in the city on Thursday and was directly escorted to her hotel amidst tight security. In spite of spending an entire day in Jaipur, Deepika did not venture out of the hotel to sight see or shop. Says a source from the hotel, “Deepika was inside her room most of the time and security was tightened inside the hotel. Even the staff from the hotel was not allowed to wait on her. She was looked after by the staff from the soft drink brand. Deepika was served a buffet lunch which comprised of traditional Rajasthani dishes which included chicken curry, dal, paneer, chapatti and rice.” Deepika left her hotel early on Friday morning. She walked into the airport looking lovely in a white sweatshirt, white capris and huge sunglasses. Most of the passengers at the airport were not able to recognise the stunning actress immediately, but when they did, there was a beeline for autographs. As she was whiskered away by the security personnel of the airlines, the Pink City was left hoping that this pretty woman would be back soon.
