Deepika, Asin Both SMS buddies

Deepika Padukone and Asin are both early birds. And, believe it or faint, these two girls from the South have a lot of other things in common.


They’re SMS buddies, and exchange at least half a dozen messages. Deepika, who is one of the few heroines who gets along famously with her female counterparts, is happy that Asin and she have struck up a good friendship. Deepika was over-heard saying to another friend, “The nice part of my friendship with Asin is that we’re both daddy’s girls.’’ Yeah, Asin thinks the world of her businessman father Joseph Thottumkal, and Deepika worships the ground on which her super-dad Prakash Padukone plays badminton. With so much going for them, it is hardly surprising that these two 20-somethings have nice things to say about one another.

Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan’s production house Illuminati films is set to release their maiden venture 'Love Aaj Kal' in association with Eros International. 'Love Aaj Kal' is director Imtiaz Ali’s much awaited release after his hugely successful 'Jab We Met'.

The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukoue, Rishi Kapoor and Rahul Khanna. Saif and Deepika are paired together for the very first time. Says a source, “Saif and Deepika are looking fabulous together… the chemistry they share is unbelievable!!. Though producers have tired their best to keep the film under wraps, the film has already generated a strong buzz.

'Love Aaj Kal' is set to have a fresh take on relationships in a language that will appeal to everyone.
Love Aaj Kal is directed by Imtiaz Ali, who previously made Jab We Met.
The film is supposed to be based on a Taiwanese film by Hou Hsiao-Hsien called Three Times.

Love Aaj Kal revolves around one couple in three different eras.

The film has already generated a lot of gossip because rumourville is buzzing with news that Saif Ali Khan wanted Kareena to play the female lead instead of Deepik

Since Saif is also the producer of the film, Deepika has declined from responding to his preference for Kareena.
Their inter-personal problems aside, sources say Saif and Deepika's chemistry is amazing.

Deepika Love’s Saif Forever :Love Aaj kal

Saif is taking it to another level altogether. He was quite vocal about wanting Kareena to be his heroine for his maiden production, Love Aaj Kal. Now that the film is complete, the actor seems to have raised the topic again with the media

In a recent print interview, the actor again went on to say that he would have loved to work with Kareena in Love Aaj Kal but had to bow down to director Imtiaz Ali’s demand for Deepika.
Saif also revealed in that interview that he checked with Kareena if she would be okay with him doing the movie with Deepika. Anyway, Saif can be happy that he his lady love will be a part of his second production, Agent Vinod.

As for Deepika, it can hardly make her feel great to know that everytime Saif looked at her, he was secretly hoping it was Kareena.

Anyway, the actress is believed to have said that she is sure that Saif will not regret taking her for the role. For her part, the actress is putting on a brave front and is telling all and sundry about how great Saif is as a co star and a producer.

Deepika Priyanka Dostana-Can't think straight

Mumbai, May 02: Who says that two actresses can’t get along? Super-hot Deepika Padukone and curvaceous Priyanka Chopra are setting unprecedented example of female bonding these days. The duo has been seen readily participating in each other’s parties, sharing jokes and laughing like best buddies.

A source informed, "Deepika was completely exhausted on April 30, having done an extensive photo-shoot for close to 10 hours, with looks spanning five decades; but Ranbir Kapoor and she still made it to Priyanka Chopra’s party for Hollywood hottie Gerard Butler."

Priyanka Chopra, who played the perfect hostess in the party, was all praises for her newfound girl buddy, Deepika. “Deepika is a great girl. I have known her well even before ‘Om Shanti Om’ released. I truly like her,” Priyanka said.

Another source informed that a while back, when Ranbir and Deepika threw a dinner for close friends, Priyanka was one of the first to arrive.

Well, after hearing of catfights, jealousies, face-offs between actresses, Deepika-Priyanka friendship is breaking new grounds. Or there is more to the bonding? You never know in showbiz…!
