Deepika New Brand Ambassador For BSNL
Even the old war horse BSNL seems to have changed its lethargic ways. In a move symbolic of market dynamics, and sharp marketing they have replaced Preity Zinta with Deepika Padukone as their brand ambassador.
Preity Zinta had been the face of the telecommunications giant for many years, selling their broadband and telephony services. Preity today, is in her mid thirties, and it looks like the bosses at BSNL seem to have decided that they need a much newer and younger face to promote their products.
Deepika of course is the face of the new and emerging India, and represents the aspirations of a young India. One is sure she can create an emotional connect with the younger population, who are the biggest users of the internet.
