The perfect icing on the cake is her decision to turn full fledged action girl. The buzz is that she has done some deadly stunts in her upcoming movie ‘Chandni Chowk to China‘ where she is opposite Akshay Kumar.

Their debut movies hit the theatres on the same day. She already won when ‘Saawariya‘ sucked and ‘OSO‘ rocked, thanks to over the top publicity and SRK! Now even before Ranbir signs a true blue action film, Deepika‘s already into one totally!

In this movie she has a double role, something she has already done in OSO. The Bitch has found out that she had started training in martial arts, right after her debut.

In spite of all the hoopla, her post interval part in OSO stuck out like a sore thumb. Maybe that‘s why she wants to make sure that it doesn‘t happen again. A perfect cover up for the lack of great acting skills!

Deepika specially learnt the art of martial arts for three months in India. Then she went to Shanghai for a seven week training session for the same. She even took lessons from her co-star Akshay Kumar.

It didn‘t end there. She loved to kick a** so much that she requested director Nikhil Advani to let her perform a full song based on the art. Looking at her enthusiasm, Nikhil asked her if she could do some stunts and she happily agreed to do them!

Don‘t be surprised if she turns Charlie‘s Angel in real life too and actually protects Ranbir from the baddies!

Anything to impress would be in- laws, eh girl?

The Bitch‘s birdie informs, "Deepika will sure give many actresses a run for their money. She is extremely talented and the way she has performed those deadly stunts, it‘s like competition to her co-star Akshay as well. In the movie produced by Rohan Sippy, Akshay plays a cook who moves from India to China, something quite similar to his own life story. Saif on a four month holiday just to be with lady love

Saif Ali Khan is going all the way to prove his great love for Kareena Kapoor. The time spent with his latest Begum is kinda never enough for the Chhote Nawab.

Now Saif has taken a four month break from acting just to be with her. He is currently with her in Australia where she is shooting for ‘Main aur Mrs Khanna.‘

Now 'Chandni Chowk to China' revives songs from yesteryears.

‘Chandni Chowk to China‘ which has Akshay and Deepika in the lead will be featuring two famous songs from the 70‘s.

Considering the fate of the movie ‘Dil Vil Pyaar Vyaar‘ which tried the same stunt, it doesn‘t look good for this one as well!


There have been other movies like ‘Don‘ and ‘RGV Ki Aag‘ which have also used old songs, but unfortunately to no effect!

This movie is an action-comedy flick and the songs in the question are ‘Bambai Se Aaya Mera Dost‘ and ‘Piya Tu Ab Toh Aaja‘.

Obviously, they will be remixed to an extent where the composer (if alive) would disown it and won‘t take any responsibility of its after effects.

The Bitch‘s birdie says, "Chandni Chowk to China will have both of these songs as item numbers. Bipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif are considered for the songs but since there are rumours doing the rounds that both of them are not ready to work with each other, only one among the two will be considered. ".

Frankly, both these females have quite clearly exposed their two left feet. Probably a half naked Sherlyn Chopra would be a better option!

‘Chandni Chowk to China‘ is still in production phase and is expected to be released by the end of year 2008.


The movie is directed by Nikhil Advani whose last movie ‘Salaam-e-Ishq‘ redefines the word disaster. His first movie ‘Kal Ho Na Ho‘ was a huge hit but it is common knowledge that it was ghost directed by Karan Johar. Basically, this guy has got no credibility whatsoever!

‘Chandni Chowk to China‘ is believed to be inspired from Akshay‘s real life story, as the movie depicts Akshay‘s early days of travelling to China and becoming a cook there.

Bumps off Katrina from the sequel to 'Welcome'

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif have made a hit on-screen pair, much to the dismay of beau Salman Khan.

It worked out perfectly for them in last year‘s hit ‘Welcome‘.

The movie almost tripled Nana Patekar‘s rather mediocre salary and actually put Anil Kapoor right back on the map.


Obviously, the makers want to cash in on the success and make a sequel to it. Considering the kind of movies Aneez Bazmee makes, it hardly matters whether it‘s a sequel or not. It‘s still nonsense personified!

The sequel is being planned but the news is Katrina Kaif‘s not keen to be the part of it because she has a few prior commitments and will not be able to manage the dates.

This dame seems to be riding high on her success and doesn‘t look like she‘s coming back to mother earth any time soon. Probably a few slaps from someone special could do the trick!
